Cavalese sprawls over a sunlit terrace facing the Lagorai Range. Dominating the town is the crenellated bell tower of the Church of San Sebastiano. Cavalese is also home to an ice palace open even in summer and a modern public swimming pool with indoor and outdoor hot tubs.

A few steps from the centre, the beautiful centuries-old Tigli Park of La Pieve-with its precious Church of the Assunta-awaits. At the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità, which has managed the valley’s forest heritage for a thousand years, you can visit the museum-art gallery, explore 19th-century prisons, and enjoy theatrical guided tours.
